Kids tested an artificial snow polymer at Grace Museum yesterday at 12:00 p.m. CT as a preview for STEAM programs coming May 18 at Heritage Square.
The polymer — originally created to clean spills in hospitals — transforms into soft granular pieces when mixed with liquid.
🌲 Environment
Abilene State Park faces rising conservation issues as visitors leave painted rocks, debris and damage trees that provide shelter for wildlife.
Superintendent Craig warned that such actions + small plastics can harm trees by weakening their natural defenses.
🏛️ Government
The Abilene City Council is discussing a proposal to develop an RV park on Elmdale Road to meet the housing needs of data center workers amid growing tech development in the Big Country + council members plan to review proposals as the discussion continues.
