  • A winter storm disrupted flights at Abilene Regional Airport over the weekend, with about 16 cancellations (official count) and the first post-storm flight taking off Monday at 2 p.m. as crews prioritized safety for stranded travelers.  KTXS
  • Traveler James Postell, who walked from Pennsylvania and is passing through Abilene, shared his tips for staying warm amid freezing temperatures and heavy snow. He has used local shelters — the Salvation Army and Love & Care Ministries — for food and shelter while urging residents to treat the homeless with care.  KTXS
  • In Abilene today, firefighters used a dollhouse (a model home) to show how closing doors and windows can slow fire spread by controlling airflow, urging families to be prepared for emergencies.  KTXS
