  • New federal guidance affirms students’ right to pray in schools and Hardin-Simmons University boosts its faith traditions with regular chapel services + annual lawn prayers, while President Bruntmyer said the move supports religious freedom for all students.  KTXS

  • The Abilene Police Department is holding a free training class for Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events that teaches the ADD (Avoid, Deny, Defend) strategy to help civilians act quickly in a crisis. Check APD or social media for quarterly sign-up details.  KTXS
  • Clyde Mayor Stephen Steele is seeking to rename a portion of FM 18 as the Brileigh and Kyler Dailey Memorial Highway (honoring the siblings killed earlier this month in a train collision) while working with county, state, and railroad officials; residents may submit their views at City Hall.  KTXS
