  • Global Samaritan Resources launched the Above and Beyond Capital Campaign to replace its aging warehouse roof and upgrade facility features, having raised over $465,000 toward a $750,000 goal. The repairs will last five to six weeks to protect stored goods and maintain support for Abilene — ensuring sustained community aid.  KTXS

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Texas State Technical College has launched a 224-hour evening program to train local students for growing data center careers. The course covers electrical systems, HVAC, and fiber optics — and it offers a money-back guarantee if graduates do not secure a job within six months.  KTXS

  • A senior forecaster at the National Weather Service warned that severe weather with hail & high winds is expected to develop soon, and Abilene residents should monitor local updates and prepare battery-powered radios for safe shelter.  KTXS
