- ➤ Brown County officials will choose a new emergency alert provider on Monday, Mar. 16 after CodeRED went offline from a November cyberattack - residents are urged to use alternative warning channels until the new system is set up. KTXS
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Retired Navy pilot Matthew Buckley discussed his battle with post-traumatic stress injury and urged Americans to check on veterans who return from service. Through his No Fallen Heroes Foundation he is pushing for mental health treatment so veterans can heal. KTXS
- ➤ An Abilene family is raising funds for a bone marrow transplant in India for a 23-year-old local man who has battled sickle cell anemia his whole life and now suffers from aplastic anemia — his treatment could bring new hope after years of pain. KTXS
- ➤ During inspections from March 2 to 6, the Environmental Health Division found expired meat and leaky sinks at several local restaurants—issues that were promptly corrected on site to keep food safe. Abilene Reporter News
