The City may invest over $100M in park renovations to update playgrounds, splash pads and walkways for safety and accessibility.

Local entrepreneur Rhonda Reyes opened Tables of Sundries, Abilene's first board game lounge, this past December at River Oaks Village (3301 S 14th Suite 28).
The lounge offers over 200 board games, themed game rooms, a kid play area, and rental options for small events.
📰 Economy
Abilene Regional Airport held a ribbon‐cutting ceremony on Tuesday morning to launch nonstop flights to Houston and Denver.
The city is working with DCOA to boost the economy - Denver flights run twice daily, Houston flights daily with plans for an extra, and nonstop service to Phoenix starts in June.
🏥 Health
Vitalant is hosting a blood drive at Shannon South to help ease the current blood shortage.
Linda Grace (a Vitalant representative) explained that donors can quickly make a difference.
