- ➤ Abilene’s Salvation Army gives shelter and meals daily to people in need, with a shelter of 108 beds on Butternut Street and a food truck that makes up to 1500 meals during emergencies. Captain Joshua McKain said the group serves about 125 meals each day and depends on local support to keep its services running — a key help for the community. KTXS

- ➤ Fans began lining up early Thursday for the 14th Annual Outlaws and Legends Music Festival, which begins today at the Back Porch of Texas and ends Saturday night. Organizers announced that Blackhawk will not perform due to a medical situation—its first such billing change in 14 years, with proceeds going to Ben Richey Boys Ranch and Family program. KTXS
- ➤ A Taste of Ireland — The Irish Music and Dance Sensation will perform with modern flair at 7:30 p.m. April 3 at the Abilene Auditorium, 1100 N. Sixth St, and the show is part of a tour visiting several Texas cities in March and April. Abilene Reporter News

- ➤ Abilene Regional Airport has proposed a $70 million terminal expansion with an improved boarding area, updated baggage claim systems and a new fire suppression system—upgrades that are needed as the airport nears its 57th anniversary.
