Ronnie C. Kidd, 67, a dedicated volunteer at the Food Bank of West Central Texas for over 30 years, died on March 20 in Abilene.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 26 at Hamil Family Funeral Home — funeral services will follow Friday, March 27 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
The 27th Annual Champion for Children conference returns to Abilene (at the Doubletree Hilton in downtown) Thursday and Friday to kick off child abuse awareness month with breakout sessions and networking for local professionals.
Attendees will share tools and strategies to help protect children.

Abilene was selected as one of three winning cities in the Star-Spangled Texas mural competition sponsored by Texas Monthly Studio and Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages.
