COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Red Cross held Giving Day on March 25 to prepare for emergencies with donations used for shelter, meals - and relief supplies for families. Executive Director Liberty-Grace Bland said even a $20 gift supported neighbors before disasters struck. KTXS
- ➤ BCFS Health and Human Services is hosting spring youth events in April and May (including a walk and scavenger hunt at Stevenson Park) designed to help families explore outdoor fun and build leadership skills. The community is invited to participate and discover new opportunities. KTXS
- ➤ The local VFW post now has a refreshed look after months of work by the Dyess We Care Team that began in January. KTXS will meet nonprofit leaders today to discuss the project. KTXS

- ➤ Abilene’s Business Expo is drawing local business owners and residents today for 3-2-5 Day at a downtown venue. The expo offers networking opportunities and displays of local enterprise. FOX West Texas
- ➤ More than 1,500 local businesses and community members gathered yesterday at the Abilene Convention Center for the Chamber’s 2026 Business Expo. The event showcased 150 exhibitor booths with games, raffles, and branded giveaways & promoted face-to-face networking. Abilene Reporter News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Wylie ISD announced that Reagan Berry, currently principal at Wylie High School, will lead state and federal programs starting in August + she aims to strengthen support for students and families by using her leadership experience. KTXS
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Keetyn Davis Robinson, an Abilene resident battling severe Crohn’s disease, will be honored at a benefit event held at Mulligan’s on Saturday, March 28. The fundraiser will feature a golf tournament, cornhole, sand volleyball, and auctions (among other activities) to support her and her family. KTXS
