  • Early's New Boardwalk opened today in Abilene with grand festivities celebrating its community engagement; local vendor booths, live music, and family-friendly activities drew neighbors to the new space.  FOX West Texas
  • Champion for Children kicked off on Thursday in downtown Abilene, drawing hundreds to advance child abuse prevention during child abuse awareness month. The conference continues through Friday at the DoubleTree as professionals and community members work together to support children.  KTXS

  • Misti Kingston, an Algebra teacher at Clyde High School, was honored as this week’s Teacher Tribute by Arrow Ford Motors—student Reagan Louder nominated her after Kingston’s kind support brightened a challenging day.  KTXS
  • Abilene High placed disciplinary actions on three tennis players involved in a hazing incident during a school trip. Officials confirmed that administration and law enforcement fully investigated the matter to ensure staff were not involved.  KTXS

  • The Grand at Buffalo Run is transitioning from student housing to traditional apartments, clarifying its digital metering that divides total usage among tenants. The property said it is allowing early lease exits for dissatisfied residents (KTXS) and promises improved tenant safety.  KTXS
