  • Abilene Municipal Cemetery cleanup days will run April 13–17 at 1133 Cottonwood Street. Family members must remove non-compliant items from graves before city staff disposes of any remaining items after April 17.  Abilene Reporter News
  • Dr. Cathy Ashby is stepping down from her role as President and CEO of United Way of Abilene after a 13-year tenure. She will remain active as an adjunct professor at Abilene Christian University (the board will accept applications for her successor through April 20).  KTXS

  • Taylor Telecom celebrated 75 years of service Tuesday morning in Merkel as community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting event. The non-profit cooperative (providing fiber internet, telephone and TV) remains thankful for local support as it continues serving the area.  KTXS
