The Abilene Society of Model Railroaders celebrated 35 years with a free open house in Abilene.

The event ran Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will run today from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (featuring model train displays and local heritage).

Dogs of all breeds raced at the Taylor County Expo Center on Saturday, and the American Kennel Club Fast CAT event continues today with a 100-yard dash that shows canine speed and agility.
