- ➤ Multimedia journalist Tori Garcia and photographer Joe Fry of KTXS News earned a win at the Texas Broadcast News Awards Saturday night in Austin for their Feature (Light) Story, 'Abilene’s Hidden Gem: D and W Underground', which highlights an Abilene event space with over 100 neon signs. KTXS
- ➤ The Abilene Society of Model Railroaders celebrated 35 years during an open house this past weekend at 1802 Pecan St. that featured detailed model layouts of our city's railroad history. It holds Saturday meetings at 10 a.m. and Tuesday sessions from 7 to 8:30 p.m. + tours. KTXS
