The West Texas Tribune marks 21 years this May and is joining Abilene Gives to raise $5,000 for its young scholars program; a fundraiser will be held next Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at First Financial Bank (3300 S 14th St) for newspaper and coffee.

Colt Baker Foundation, created after 5-year-old Colt Baker passed in 2024, helps families grieving child loss by hosting support groups and will hold its first Walk of Remembrance this Sunday at 2 p.m. at Abilene Christian University to honor Bereaved Mother's Day.
