  • Residents near Lake Stamford report that potholes have made the roads nearly undriveable—Caitlyn Patterson said she and her husband often leave 20 minutes early to avoid damage. Locals expect officials to repair the roads soon.  KTXS

CRIME NEWS

  • Abilene police extradited a 21-year-old man accused of murdering 46-year-old Ramiel Sanders at the Cedar Creek Apartments in South Abilene and booked him into Taylor County Jail after he was captured in North Carolina where he had been on the run since February.  KTXS

CULTURE NEWS

  • Abilene's historic Paramount Theatre is hosting three showings of Seussical the Musical this weekend—today at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Two additional performances are scheduled for next weekend.  KTXS

  • Abilene councilman Blaise Regan has proposed a central hub to concentrate homeless services and close the three-mile gap between current resources like Love and Care Ministries and the Salvation Army—he said the idea is still in the brainstorming phase and must address concerns from nearby businesses and residents.  KTXS
