- ➤ The Upside Down Club of Abilene hosted the iCan Bike Camp—held at the Abilene Youth Sports Authority gym this week—to give children with disabilities a chance to ride a bike; research shows over 80% of children with Autism and 90% with Down syndrome rarely experience biking. KTXS
- ➤ At Hendrick Regional Blood Center, donations have dropped 30% from last year and the inventory of all blood types is low—residents are urged to visit the center at 1701 Pine St. during business hours to take part in the Pint for a Pint event that offers a pint of ice cream, while Hendrick Medical Center will host a blood drive June 24th-26th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. where donors receive a t-shirt and Crumbl Cookie. - ➤ Friends of the Library is holding its 36th annual book sale at the Abilene Convention Center today until 7 p.m.—on Saturday it is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday a bag-o-books sale will let patrons take as many books as they can for $6 per bag. KTXS

- ➤ FM 1082 near Lake Fort Phantom Hill is closed again due to a surface failure—TxDOT said drivers are diverted to Neas Road while a contractor works on repairs with reopening expected in a few weeks. KTXS
- ➤ On June 20th, the bridge on North 12th above Catclaw Creek had a hole that forced the road to close — local residents voiced anger on social media over repeated temporary patches instead of a long-term fix — and city officials have yet to provide further details. KTXS
