- ➤ On Sunday night, the Abilene Police Department asked the community for help finding a missing tortoise and received a tip fifteen minutes later that led to Zepp (the pet) returning home to its owner. KTXS
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fire broke out Saturday night near South 10th and Oak Street and firefighters worked for hours to control the blaze while the building showed signs of disrepair (the cause is under investigation). KTXS
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Abilene Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Bravo Hookah Lounge on North 6th Street after shots were fired at 3 AM Sunday, + two male victims with gunshot wounds were taken by private auto to the hospital + police remain on the lookout for the suspects. KTXS
- ➤ Police in South Abilene are investigating the homicide of a 24 year old woman, Aleisha Cabrera, who was fatally shot Saturday, June 28 just before 11 p.m. in the 2600 block of Ivanhoe and 23 year old Steven Pena is charged with first degree felony murder while the couple's young daughter was placed with Child Protective Services.
