Abilene residents will join a Walk for Lives event on Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Abilene Christian University campus to honor a local victim & raise awareness of fentanyl risks.
Teriyaki Madness is set to open this fall by renovating a 1,690 sqft space (next to the new Five Guys) at 6838 S.
Clack St.; construction began in May and will complete Sept. 10.
Abilene mom Alissa Guerra runs Mama Made Meal Prep, a service that prepares healthy meals to ease dinner for local families.
Starting in January, she moved her operations in May to Tables of Sundries (a board game lounge at River Oaks) and now cooks about 100 meals weekly.
Downtown Abilene pulsed with creativity last Thursday when the Sights and Sounds ArtWalk transformed galleries, coffee shops and public spaces with local art, live music and interactive installations — inviting residents to experience art in many forms.
The next ArtWalk is planned for October with theme details online.
