- ➤ Abilene resident Susan Steele said construction on Cypress Street has removed accessible parking spots and broken sidewalks that make it hard for handicapped people to get around—she described how these issues complicate her daily work routine. Steele hopes the City will soon take steps to fix these access problems. KTXS
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Wylie ISD in Abilene has added the Angel Protection System to protect students by linking existing cameras with local 911 dispatch—so officers can quickly respond if a threat is detected. The district also trains its 800 staff and makes building safety upgrades every summer to keep schools secure. KTXS
