Abilene schools now use a Wet Bulb Globe Temperature thermometer during football practices as required by UIL to decide when to adjust sessions for heat safety + athletic director Mike Fecci said the tool helps coaches set clear safety guidelines by measuring temperature, humidity, and wind speed.
🏥 Health
During National Wellness Month, Restore Wellness Centre's Dr. Ken Patterson urged Abilene residents to adopt healthy habits by improving nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management + he noted that reducing phone use before bedtime may help prevent chronic health issues linked to poor lifestyle choices.
