- ➤ Duwayne Purdue was arrested for breaking into a DK Alon convenience store in Trent three times in 2023 to steal cigarettes—surveillance video linked him to all incidents and he is now in Taylor County Jail. KTXS

- ➤ Teacher Tribute returns as Abilene schools reopen to honor educators chosen by student nominations. Marketing director Allison Alvarez of Arrow Ford said the program will surprise teachers who help guide students to become future leaders. KTXS
