CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An Abilene resident reported that security footage captured repeat offender Marty Stringer trying to enter her home by ringing the doorbell and peeking through windows on August 17 and August 19—he wore black with gloves and said he would return—while local authorities note his record of over 50 arrests since January 2017 poses a serious threat. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ With the new school year underway, officials are urging drivers to obey flashing red stop signs on school buses because ignoring them endangers lives. School resource officer Brandon Churchwell said drivers should slow down and plan extra travel time in busy school zones—repeated violations can lead to fines and license suspensions. KTXS
