Homelessness in Abilene is rising and local resident MaKenna Terrell is preparing care packages that include water, snacks, and toiletries—providing a hot meal for those in need this weekend.

Terrell invites community volunteers to help assemble the packages using donated supplies rather than monetary contributions.

A federal lawsuit was filed in an Abilene court alleging that police illegally seized over 17 pounds of marijuana, various THC products, and $1176.52 in cash from CBD House of Healing on Catclaw Dr. on Aug.
