- ➤ AM Donuts on Grape Street has been donating unsold donuts to the Salvation Army and Fire Department for years—continuing a legacy started by the late George Kim. Sokol Kim now honors his memory by keeping the shop open daily as a place for coffee and community. KTXS
- ➤ Global Samaritan Resources was joined by 14 Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages volunteers—who sorted and boxed thousands of SMILES Christian Gift Boxes—for preparations to send them to Peru later this year. The nonprofit worked to bring hope to communities in need. KTXS
- ➤ Today, hundreds of Abilene residents lined up at the annual Be a Good Neighbor event where vendors offered help with housing, food stamps, and medical advice—coordinator Merlin Mann said that matching people to the right services can change lives. KTXS
