- ➤ On Saturday the Perinatal CARE Foundation will host a Walk for Remembrance event at Abilene Christian University from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. to honor families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and infertility—featuring a walk along Lunsford Trail, a community picnic, and a candlelight ceremony. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Registration ends Friday for Club Courage, a free six-week grief support group at Hendrick Hospice Care Center that meets Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. beginning Oct. 14 through Nov. 18 — specially trained volunteers guide exercises to help children, teens, and parents cope with loss. KTXS
- ➤ About 58 million corn dog and sausage on a stick products have been recalled by Hillshire and Jimmy Dean after wood was found in the batter and five consumer injuries were reported - the items were packaged from March 17 to September 26. The Food Safety and Inspection Service advises everyone to discard any recalled products while the factory near Fort Worth addresses the issue. KTXS
