  • Boo at the Zoo started Saturday at Abilene Zoo featuring a petting zoo, hay-bale maze, costume contest, and vendor trick-or-treating stations—curator Robert Trejo said the event will run every weekend in October to bring more visitors and new attractions each year.  KTXS

BUSINESS NEWS

  • On Saturday, the Abilene Chamber's Hispanic Business Council held its 17th annual Business Mercado at the Convention Center. The event featured live mariachis, authentic food, and business networking opportunities — it drew the largest crowd yet and chairwoman Aida Pantoja thanked Abilene for their support.  KTXS
