- ➤ Pastor Bob Gilliam, an 80-year-old Marine veteran, will receive his high school diploma at Abilene High School tonight—62 years after he left to serve in the Marine Corps. The ceremony occurs 30 minutes before the 7 p.m. kickoff at Shotwell Stadium and invites the community to honor his lasting dedication. KTXS

- ➤ On Oct. 10, a fox tested positive for rabies in Clyde (near Wildflower and County Road 120), which raised concerns among residents about a possible outbreak. Locals took extra precautions (posting neighborhood warning signs) while city officials confirmed no further cases and continued to monitor the situation. KTXS
