On Wednesday morning, Abilene residents gathered at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery to bury U.S. Army veteran PFC Ronald Kenneth Fogerty who died without any living family.

Cemetery officials said the service honored his sacrifice — with U.S. Air Force veteran Stanley Koper attending to show support for his lifelong commitment.
