- ➤ Abilene Regional Airport is set to double its size by 2028 with a $70 million expansion that begins in April or May 2026. Director Don Green said the project will add 22,000 square feet to the terminal+ it follows a $20 million bond approval and plans to secure FAA grants. KTXS
