Meals on Wheels partnered with United Supermarkets in Abilene to launch the Easy as Pie campaign, where a $5 donation at checkout at United or Market Street earns a free pie from November 12 to November 26—yesterday a pie eating contest was held at 10 a.m. to kick off the event and highlight its community impact during the holidays.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Community Foundation of Abilene celebrated 40 years at the Abilene Convention Center with local leaders in attendance—marking its milestone with $220 million in assets and $28 million in grants awarded over the past year.
