Concho Valley Together is teaming with CVCAA to offer flood assistance — helping families rebuild after severe flooding that damaged over 1,900 homes and left many facing ongoing recovery challenges.
Eligible residents can access support for repairs and safe rebuilding.
GV Daniels and Cesar Chavez recreation centers are nearing completion after demolition began last December following a $28 million bond vote; GV Daniels is ahead while Cesar Chavez is a month behind.
They will open in the spring (2026) and feature sports courts, makerspaces, gaming rooms and a library.
Abilene Winter Fest gives families a festive walk with nearly 2 million lights and new attractions (including a 30-foot deer and a tribute car honoring Mike Donahue) and runs until Dec.
