- ➤ Kids tested an artificial snow polymer at Grace Museum yesterday at 12:00 p.m. CT as a preview for STEAM programs coming May 18 at Heritage Square. The polymer — originally created to clean spills in hospitals — transforms into soft granular pieces when mixed with liquid. Abilene Reporter News

- ➤ Abilene State Park faces rising conservation issues as visitors leave painted rocks, debris and damage trees that provide shelter for wildlife. Superintendent Craig warned that such actions + small plastics can harm trees by weakening their natural defenses. KTXS
