- ➤ The Perkins family—Zach, Kylie and their son Beau—were named Military Family of the Year at Saturday’s 60th annual World's Largest Barbecue held at the Abilene Convention Center by the Abilene Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs Committee. Zach, a technical sergeant and C-130 loadmaster instructor, led tactical planning for his unit in the Middle East while deployed in South Carolina for the last six months. Abilene Reporter News
